As an outgoing and motivated leader, Matt Metzger is committed to you and your bottom line. On an average day, Matt is working to assist customers in planning, educating producers and serving as a technical assistant in the field.
“I am passionate about agriculture and livestock. Working with producers, I really take pride in what they are accomplishing,” Matt said. “I feel I can best relate to someone in agriculture and livestock.”
Matt grew up on a diversified livestock operation with registered dairy and beef. His passion for livestock led him to South Dakota State University to study Animal Science.
“I had internships in livestock reproduction, but after starting with Millborn I found my passion for nutrition and forage,” Matt said.
At Millborn, Matt started in the Warehouse in 2015, held an internship in 2016 and started full-time in 2017.
“My passion for sustainable agriculture is strong,” Matt said. “Couple this with great people at Millborn, and it was a perfect fit for me. I love working with producers to put together a plan and find unique solutions to achieve their goals.”
Outside the office, Matt enjoys everything outdoors, including hunting, fishing and hiking. He also enjoys working with livestock and spending time with family and friends.
