As a critical thinker, Alex Guttormsson is here to listen and answer any questions you have about forage and cover crops. He is passionate about agriculture and determined to find the best solution for you and your farm.
Alex started at Millborn in March 2019 as a Forage and Cover Crop Intern. Feeling right at home, Alex accepted a full-time position as a Forage + Cover Crop Specialist in May 2019. On a regular day, you can find Alex on the phone answering questions a producer or a dealer may have.
“I like the community,” Alex said. “I love the opportunity to help people and give advice to producers on how to better their operation.
Alex is originally from a farm in Minnesota where he raised show lambs and farmed corn, soybeans and alfalfa, as well as, used cover crops.
“I love to connect what I do on my farm with you,” Alex said. “I value honesty and I will be honest with you. If I wouldn’t on my own farm, I would not recommend it to you.”
Alex graduated from South Dakota State University in Agronomy and Agricultural Business. Outside of Millborn, you can find Alex showing lambs, hunting or fishing, playing golf or spending time with his girlfriend.
